LEAK CHECK

Where families quietly slip away

Four checks. Your numbers. Run them yourself — your studio will tell you exactly what's broken.

CHECK 1 · THE GOOD-CALL MYTH

Your last 10 families

Ten five-minute calls to your newest families — the most honest picture you'll get of how booking actually went.

Call the last 10 families who joined you. Say it like this:

"Hi, it's [your name] from [your studio] — we're working on making things even better for our families. Got five minutes?"

THE BAR

Eight minutes to trust you and see the class fits her kid. Under two to book it. Ten minutes, first search to booked — that's the whole window.

And the two minutes means a few simple steps. Not an account to create. Not a page of personal data. A parent asked for that doesn't book slower — she doesn't book. The tab closes.

Answers of "a few days" or "I called twice" are the leak talking.

CHECK 2 · THE IDLE ASSET

Your website

The one marketing asset you've already paid for — and what it does while you're busy posting.

Pull your visitor stats — whoever manages your site can find them in five minutes. Last two months.

Visits last month: Families who booked from the site:

Almost no visits? That's a FIND problem — your Snapshot's quick wins start there. Visits but no bookings? That's the leak. Those are parents intentionally searching for a dance class, in your town, gone without a next step.

HOMEWORK

Name a thriving studio you admire — from competition, or a couple towns over: . Go look at her website. Count how many of the 100 points it checks. That's not a coincidence.

CHECK 3 · THE COST YOU NEVER ADDED UP

Your booking cost

What answering the phone actually costs you every month — and the one cut that makes the experience faster, not smaller.

Hours your desk spends each month on new-family calls, voicemails, and walking parents through signing up:

Or classes you comp for the help:

My monthly booking cost:

Whatever the number, it only works while someone's standing there. Parents search at 9pm, from the couch. Bring this number to the call — we'll set it next to the engine that never sleeps and never calls in sick.

CHECK 4 · NOT THE AD. THE FOLLOW-UP.

Your ads & follow-up

If ads are running and students aren't coming, the ad may not be broken. The follow-up might be.

Last month ads ran: Booked families that month — up, or just visits?

The path behind the ad — check what's true today:

  • The answers she needs are in the copy on the page — not behind "call us for details"
  • She can book a class right then, herself — no waiting on a follow-up call
  • The follow-up runs automatically: the reminder, the what-to-wear, the welcome

Any empty box is where the ad money leaks. Ads don't fix a path — they send more families down it, faster.

Count your leaks.

Every family who had to call. Every visitor without a next step. Every ad click that never became a booked class. None of them left because your studio isn't good enough. They left because an easier path existed somewhere else.

Fix your quick wins. Then text RE-SCORE to 833-400-5515 — I'll walk your studio again, and we'll see exactly what moved.
